chiropractic care

We offer a variety of services to treat common ailments and injuries throughout the whole body. We encourage you to learn more about what we provide and how we can help.

Traditional Chiropractic treatments are done by hand. The doctor delivers a force into the spine to adjust the vertebrae. However, sometimes, this manual procedure cannot be done fast enough to counteract the body’s muscular “tightening up” to fight the adjustment. In our office, we use an instrument used and developed by NASA called The ProAdjuster 360. For the duration of the scanning and adjusting, the patient remains seated. There is no twisting, turning, popping, or cracking while utilizing the ProAdjuster 360!

First, the doctor scans the spine to find “fixation” where your spine is not moving properly. The doctor will then adjust the specific vertebrae causing the problem, again, using the ProAdjuster 360 sensor. The doctor adjusts ONLY the misaligned vertebrae using the ProAdjuster 360. When the ProAdjuster 360 senses something move, it will stop adjusting automatically. The doctor will perform a second scan after the adjustment to ensure that a change was made. All of these scans and adjustments are displayed via graphs on a computer screen right in front of you!

Low Level Laser Therapy, is a treatment that utilizes specific wavelengths of light to interact with tissue and is known to accelerate the healing process of a variety of clinical conditions. By definition, this type of therapy uses radiation intensities that induce minimal temperature elevation (not more than 0.1 to 0.5 degrees celsius), if any. Low-energy lasers have been promoted as an effective way to produce pain relief.

Cold Laser Therapy

Electrical muscle stimulation (EMS) is a treatment method being used to reduce pain, swelling, and recovery time. This increasingly popular treatment works well for soft tissue injuries, muscle spasms, and even for athletes who want quicker recovery from workouts.

This treatment is performed here in our office, and usually only takes a few minutes. Electrodes are placed on the skin over the affected area, and the machine is turned on. An electrical current is then transmitted into the soft tissue or muscle. The level of current used depends on the injury, its location, and how deep the therapy will be. This electrical current causes the muscles to experience very small but quick contractions. During the treatment, patients may feel a prickly or tingling sensation; however, these sensations will subside after the machine is turned off, or shortly afterward.

Electrical Stimulation Therapies

Commonly known as Manual Manipulation. There are well over 100 types of adjustment techniques used by chiropractors throughout the world. Some practitioners may use force and twisting, while other techniques are more gentle. Regardless of how they are performed, these techniques are intended to restore or enhance joint function with the objectives of reducing pain and resolving joint inflammation.

When vertebrae shift out of place, there is an overall systemic response from the muscular system to the central nervous system. Without proper alignment and flow, our nerves, our immune system, and our minds cannot function at their highest peak. Overall, spinal adjustments and manipulations are an excellent way to keep the body functioning at its highest level without any discomfort. When the body is adequately aligned, it becomes able to respond and perform as it was built to do.

Spinal Manipulation

A non-surgical treatment that is designed to relieve pressure on the neural components of the spine, soothing pain and decreasing discomfort. Spinal decompression works by gently stretching the spine. That changes the force and position of the spine. This change takes the pressure off the spinal disks, which are gel-like cushions between the bones in your spine, by creating negative pressure in the disc. As a result, bulging or herniated disks may retract, taking pressure off nerves and other structures in your spine. This, in turn, helps promote movement of water, oxygen, and nutrient-rich fluids into the disks so they can heal. Call us to see if this could be a good fit for you!
